The town of Belek is known far and wide for its environmental protectionism, being an avid protector of indigenous flora and fauna to the delight of its locals and visitors. Guests are invited to visit the famed Kursunlu Waterfall, with the magnificent hidden cave behind the waterfall itself that is a specimen of nature’s beauty. More than a hundred species of birds call this region home.
The ancient classical city of Perge is nearby the town of Belek, known second after Ephesus in its preservation of ancient antiquities and ruins. The great amphitheater of Aspendos waits to be explored by the visitors, as one of the many spectators, over 10,000 it can still host today.
Similar to the places in the region, most locals after a long day enjoy a meal called "yat geber ekmegi" or “sleep and die bread” which is taken before going to bed. Guests enjoying a full day’s golfing or caving by the waterfall can try this tradition, partaking usually of nuts as part of this traditional snack in the winter, while enjoying a plate of fruit in sunnier months.
