Gocek

Located in the gulf area of the Fethiya region in Turkey, the town of Göcek is believed by sailors to possess one of the most breathtaking seascapes in the world.

The town of Gocek nestles is a natural harbor, that lies at the foot of the pine clad mountains, looking out over the the bay populated by a cluster of tiny islands each one unique.

Guests and locals alike are invited to take an afternoon stroll around the gorgeous marina to see exactly why the area has become the yachtman’s favorite playground—with the boats of all shapes and sizes that bob up and down on its waters able to find a home on its coasts.

The Gocek waterfront then is bustling with activity not only on the surf and seafront but also on dry land, as the long line of bars and restaurants that bring memorable evenings of Turkish regional cuisine are inviting and full of friendly locals. Though further inland, the locals will most likely be found on the main market square with antique, carpet and craft shops that wait for the inquisitive explorer.

Guests are invited to go to one of the beaches in the local nature reserves or take a day trip on a boat to one of the twelve lovely island gems floating in the bay. Each of these islands is a gem in itself, promising a different experience for the visitor—some are known for the ancient Byzantine ruins, or the rustic seafood restaurants, whose fare is cooked fresh from the sea.
