Hisaronu

Lying in the hilltops above Turkey’s most renown beaches, the lively resort area of Hisaronu in the region of Fethiye is a wonderful place where relaxation and nature come together.

Located a little of a thousand meters above sea level, the village of Hisaronu has the benefit of a cooler climate at the higher hilltop altitudes then most of its sea port neighbors.

The lovely sea scape against the turquoise waters, mingles with the natural beauty of the forest and mountains that surround it on three sides, with verdant green pines. In these hills there are wilderness safari's, pony trekking, quad biking and parascending that anyone, the locals or visitors, can enjoy year round.
Its proximity to the world famous beach at Olu Deniz can be reached by a quick walk through the scenic pine forests.

The cultural heritage that has been past down since the area’s civilization was first established can be seen in the thoughtful architecture of the area. Local government ensures that buildings in the village are no more than three stories high, a feature to prevent the disruption of unsploit panoramic character of the surroundings.
The town center of Hisaronu itself offers convenience and local color in its slew of bars, shops and restaurants, with a good local market on Monday where one can sample local art objects, produce from nearby villages and regional cuisine.

Its proximity to other hotspots on the Turkish Aegean make this a special place—guest are invited to satisfy a range of interests such as paragliding in Oludeniz one day, canoeing down the Xanthos river as well as still have time for a quick overnight trip to walk through and experience the classical ruins of Ephesus.
