Named after the words meaning bird and island, the region of Kusadasi, Turkey is known for the bird-head shaped rock near its harbour on Guvercin Adasi also known as Pigeon Island.

The fantastic resort town located on the Turkish coast hugging the Aegean seas is a wonderful example of Turkish seaside hospitality, with the perfect climate for sun-lovers wanting to escape from the busy hustle and bustle of the city. In fact, 300 days out of the year, the sun shines brightly over this paradise isle.

There are several opportunities to experience Kusadasi, as a center for cultural heritage and ancient history, as well as for its stunning sandy beaches, nature parks as well as its waterparks such as Aqua Fantasy and Aqua Land.

The Kusadasi Setur marina is a sight to behold, with a capacity of over 600 yachts that can dock. Cruise ships favor the marina ass it is also a short ways away from the gorgeous island of Samos. Water sports enthusiasts will not be disappointed with the ample activities available here: windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, sunbathing and beach volleyball are typical activities.
The city’s unique value on cultural heritage is apparent in the Ottoman and Turkish mosques that are still in use today.

The Fortress Mosque for example is one of the most impressive structures in Kusadasi, having been built in the 17th Century. Its 12 arches hold up the leaden dome. Guest are invited to pass through the doorway whose mother-of-pearl inlay featured the best of Ottoman design of the period, as carried through inside the mosque with its botanical and geometric mosaic motifs.

The Hanim Mosque from the 15th Century, the Haji Ibrahim Mosque from the 17th Century as well as the Turkmen and Camiatik Mosques also invite visitors for a taste of Islamic architecture.
In the evenings, guests can sample the seafood and Aegean cuisine in the many cafes, as well as go out for a night on the town at a bar or disco.
