Icmeler
Blossoming into a wonderful holiday resort location popular with families is the town of Icmeler in Turkey Aegean coastal region.
Located on the cusp of the Icmeler Bay, within the greater region of the Mamaris Bay, this green town is a pleasant sight to behold for the first time traveler. The town is bounded on its three sides by majestic pine forests, which can best be experienced by a day trip, hiking in the mountains experiencing the cool climes.
The mountainous area of Icmeler seems to slope gently right into the seafront area, providing a breathtaking view of the bay area’s turquiose waters that can never easily be forgotten.
It is no surprise that this wonderful town’s rapid development has allowed this former small-scale sister resort to Marmaris, to grow from a formerly sleepy fishing and sponge diving village on the coast into a booming seaport town with a more well-endowed verdant natural environments than the bustling port town of Marmaris.
Visitors should expect a more carefree and relaxed ambiance in this town that will ensure a restful holiday escape—spend the day either soaking under the sun on its wide sandy beach, trying the range of watersports on the seas and surf, or taking a scenic stroll in its many delightful gardens.
Guests can also take quite boat trips to nearby sandy coves in Icmeler, a short hop from the beach front proper, as well as day trip to any of tiny islands that dot the bay area for unique adventures daily.
